Draft — last generated 2026-08-12. Not reviewed by counsel.

Note: This is a working draft covering the data this site actually collects (from the request-a-speaker form, contact-speaker form, newsletter signup, and Google Analytics). It is not legal advice. Have a lawyer review it — especially the retention, third-party, and grievance-officer sections — before publishing it as final.

1. Who we are

Draupadi on the Dais ("the Dais", "we", "us") is a curated directory connecting event organisers, media, and the public with verified Indian women speakers and experts. This policy explains what information we collect through draupadionthedais.com, why, and how it's used.

2. Information we collect

3. How we use it

3a. Your consent

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act), we process your personal data based on your explicit consent, given by checking the consent box on the Request a Speaker, Claim the Dais (Apply), and Media Opportunities forms before submission. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us (see Section 8) — this won't affect processing already carried out, or a profile already reviewed and published with your agreement.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell personal data. Information is shared only as needed to operate the platform: with our database and email infrastructure providers (Supabase, Google Workspace) to store and process requests, and with the relevant speaker when you submit a contact or booking enquiry about their profile.

5. Data retention

We retain speaker request and contact data for as long as needed to fulfil the request and for a reasonable period after for records, then delete or anonymise it. Published speaker profiles remain live until the speaker asks for removal.

6. Your choices

7. Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data per Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Contact us

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent through the contact form, or via our LinkedIn. See also our Terms of Service.
